Because of my extensive production background I was able to step in and help out the surfacing department I produced a number of assets used in “Monster Versus Aliens”

I was also able to help the matte painting dept set up shots as well as give specialized layout classes in Maya.

Art directing/designing/texture painting/modeling /color and lighting on a 3d animated ride film based on the Beatles Film "Yellow Submarine". I supervised a small crew of digital artists, made client presentations of my concept and final design work for the ride film. Everything I did had to be approved by the George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Star.

Feature Film and Television Work At MetroLight

"Kull the Conqueror"- lead creative, and director at MetroLight for over 100 shots. This entailed working with R&D to design the fire and element effects, storyboarding, and art directing a crew of about 20 digital artists as well as making client presentations and working with the film’s director.

Training Department

Successfully created complete course training for the surfacing dept, and the matte painting dept, which included online documentation and videos.

Created and ran a Maya Fundamentals class open to the whole studio.

Created and ran special Maya particle efx classes for the layout department as well as giving specialized individual training in Maya for layout/previz artists.

Created and ran a cross training course for the modeling department.

Created and ran After Efffects classes for the story/previz/layout depts

Learned how the DW pipeline worked which enabled me to create pipeline classes and install assets, create shots for the courses I taught.
